Classes are held Mondays, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.

Sept. 13 - An Introduction to Wine: learn how wine is made, the grapes, the history. Tour & behind-the-scene visit to the winery.

Sept. 20 - The Types of Wine: The reds, the whites and the others: discover the differences between wines. Wine tasting.

Sept. 27 - Wines of the World: become familiar with wine classifications & appellations and learn how to read labels. Wine tasting.

Oct. 4 - How to Taste Wine - Compare 2 White Wines: learn how to taste wine like a Pro and compare 2 white wines.

Oct. 11 - How to Serve Wine - Compare 2 Red Wines: learn how to handle wine from storing to serving and compare 2 red wines.

Oct. 18 - Food & Wine Pairing Principles: discover the basic rules for pairing wine and food to obtain the best match possible. Food samples and wine tasting.

Spotlight on Vintage 2010

Winemaker Tom Carroll, Jr. will comment on 2010, one of the driest and hottest growing season in PA history. The evening will feature French cuisine from the Alsace wine region. Crossing's Event Manager and "foodie" Kate Sielski will offer her insight on these regional specialties and how they can be paired with wine.

The five-course menu will include award-winning vintages from the 2010 competition season .
