David E. Mino, MD
David Mino is an orthopedic surgeon. He graduated from Moravian College with a degree in Biology in 1974 and earned a medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in 1978. He went on to do his surgical internship at Pennsylvania Hospital and completed an orthopedic surgery residency at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY. Following a fellowship in Spine Surgery at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, Illinois, he began practicing orthopedic surgery in Bucks County in 1984.
Dr. Mino’s thirty-year “love affair” with wine began with a wine appreciation class at Moravian College in 1973. He went on to attend a Bordeaux wine course in Syracuse, New York, where he expanded his wine knowledge and skills over a two year period of monthly blind wine tastings and evaluations.
His wine travels include visits to Sonoma and Napa Valley, New York’s Finger Lakes, Switzerland, the Northern and Central regions of Italy, and the Champagne, Rhone, Burgundy and Loire regions of France.
Dr. Mino has lectured extensively on wine for the past twenty years. His areas of expertise include: the sensory evaluation and analysis of wine, pairing wine with food, and the health benefits of wine. He also designs wine cellars.
