Cleanliness in the winery plays a critical
role in creating a quality product. For this reason, the winemaker
has insisted on a separate bottling room. Crossing Vineyards and
Winery is one of the few firms on the East Coast of the United
States who can claim to have a “sterile” bottling facility.
The bottling room at Crossing Vineyards and Winery is equipped
with its own air supply. This separate HVAC system creates a positive
pressure which prevents the intrusion of airborne contaminants.
The room also has a separate drainage system.

The bottling line, manufactured in Italy, sanitizes the bottle
and sparges it with nitrogen to remove excess water from cleaning.
The equipment then fills the bottle, corks it, puts the capsule
on and affixes the front and back labels. Crossing Vineyards bottling
line can process up to 1200 units per hour.
